Uelta Pagos: take online payments without Redsys

Take card payments in your online shop without a virtual POS from your bank: activate your Stripe account, choose which venues use Uelta Pagos and see your payments and payouts.

Uelta Pagos lets you take card payments online without a Redsys virtual POS from your bank. Your customers pay on Stripe's secure page (by card and, if Stripe offers them, Apple Pay or Google Pay) and the money goes to your own Stripe account: Uelta never holds it. To activate it you need POS management permission.

What it costs and when you get paid

  • Commission: the one you see on screen before activating it (by default 2.4% + €0.25 + VAT per payment; Stripe’s fees are included). It is deducted, with its VAT, from each payment.
  • Payouts: Stripe pays what you collected into your bank account every week, on Mondays.
  • Invoice: every month Uelta issues the invoice for the previous month's commissions, already paid. You'll find it in Plan and billing.

Activating it

  1. Go to Settings → Customer payments and scroll down to Uelta Pagos.
  2. Tick the box to accept the Uelta Pagos terms and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
  3. Press Activate Uelta Pagos. You go to Stripe, which verifies your identity and your business and asks for your bank account.
  4. When you come back you'll see the status: Pending verification while Stripe reviews it, Information needed if it needs something else (press Complete details) or Active.

Choosing how each venue takes payments

With the account active, under Online payments per venue choose Own Redsys or Uelta Pagos for each venue and press Save. Some venues can use Redsys and others Uelta Pagos. If the Uelta Pagos account stops being active, those venues use Redsys if you have it; otherwise customers pay at the venue.

What happens with each payment

  • Successful payment: the booking becomes Paid and the customer gets the confirmation email, just like with Redsys.
  • Unfinished payment: if the customer doesn't pay within the payment time, the booking is cancelled, its places are released and the discount code is free again. If the card is declined, they can try again while the payment is still open.
  • Refunds: make them from POS → Transactions or from the booking and they go back to the customer's card automatically. The amount comes from your Stripe balance and the commission isn't refunded.
  • Chargebacks: if a customer disputes a payment with their bank, the amount and Stripe's fee are taken from your balance; if you win, the amount comes back.
