Setting up your points club

With the points club, your customers earn points when they buy and when they invite their friends, and exchange them for rewards. It is set up in Marketing. It is an add-on feature: if it isn't active on your account, the administrator can add it in Plan & billing → Features.

Before you start

In Marketing → Summary you will see the Launch your club list with the steps still to do. While the club is Paused you can prepare everything without your customers seeing it. Also fill in the company name, tax ID (NIF), address and email in Settings → Venues: they appear in the club terms.

How points are earned

Go to Marketing → How to earn points. Each rule has its own Expiry in days (0 = they never expire):

• Club name: the one your customers see.
• Welcome: points for joining, only once. They are activated when the customer confirms their email.
• Per spend: for example, “For every 1 € = 1 point”. It counts in the online shop and at the POS when the customer is identified, and only what is actually paid.
• For buying specific products: extra points per unit. Click Add product.
• Birthday party: points once a year, on their birthday.
• Expiry notice: how many days in advance the member is notified by email.

Member levels

Turn on Member levels to reward those who spend the most. In Which spend counts, choose whether all spending counts or only the last 12 months. With Add level you create up to 6 levels, each with its own name, the amount spent in euros from which it starts, and a multiplier (×) for points from purchases.

Click Save. Changing points or expiry periods publishes a new version of the terms; the points each member already has keep their date.

Launching it

Review Marketing → Terms, which are written automatically from your rules, and use the switch in the top bar to change to Running. Your customers will see it in their online shop account and will join themselves by accepting the terms.

In Marketing → Members you can look up each member and see their balance and activity. With Adjust points you add or remove points, giving a reason that the customer will see.
